Eco Committee visit Stephen Morgan

Young people at Newbridge Junior School have been praised by their local MP who has been inspired by their drive to see change about plastics in oceans and the natural environment.

Stephen Morgan, who welcomed the school’s Eco Committee to his Southsea office, praised the children for striving to make the city greener.

He said: “It was fantastic to host Newbridge Junior’s Eco Committee in the constituency office today to hear efforts to make their school and our city greener. I’ll be taking back their ideas to tackle the climate crisis to Parliament.”

The children also asked Stephen about his role in Parliament when promoting between ways of becoming an eco-friendlier country.

Finally, the children discussed their role as eco-councillors and what they have achieved so far—well done, The Eco-Committee!
